✅ Always lock doors and windows, even when you are at home
✅ Double-lock UPVC doors and ensure handles are lifted properly
✅ Keep keys out of sight and away from doors and letterboxes
✅ Use timer switches on lights to make your home appear occupied
✅ Ensure side gates and access points are secure
✅ Consider installing CCTV, alarms, or video doorbells

🔐 When You’re Out or Away:
✅ Cancel or redirect deliveries so parcels are not left outside
✅ Ask a trusted neighbour to keep an eye on your property
✅ Avoid posting holiday plans on social media in real time

🚫 Opportunist burglars often target properties that appear unoccupied or insecure. Taking these precautions can significantly reduce your risk.
